Hi, I’m Carlotta Moon. I have been a member of the AssistU community since 1999. The road that lead me to becoming a VA has been a circuitous one. I originally started out in the medical field as a lab tech specializing in immunohemotology (blood banking). With my penchant for detail and organization I then pursued a business degree and began my administrative career in the financial realm, first with a local bank and then working with financial advisors. After several years on the corporate scene, I decided that I wanted more control over my career. I received boundless encouragement from both my husband and father - took that big professional leap and started my own business. At that time it was an on-site administrative service. My primary clientele were financial advisors. When the extensive traveling finally got to me, I began to look for a better way to do what I love. That’s when I discovered AssistU. I love being a VA and an independent business owner. There’s no going back to Corporate America for this gal! Over the years I have narrowed my practice to working with financial advisors. My clients are wonderful, lots of fun, and I learn as much from them as they do from me.
The personal highlights of my life are having a loving, supportive husband and a beautiful home from which I can enjoy working from and working on – David and I are avid remodelers. We never had any two-legged children, but we do have one very loveable and spoiled 7 yr. old Black Labrador named Shadow and a 7 yr. old Turkish Van cat. We live in a beautiful semi-rural area on the central east coast of Florida, just 35 miles south of the Space Center. We just step out our front door to watch shuttle and rocket launches.
My husband, David, is my special hero. He is my best friend and soul mate, and has consistently been a source of strength and unfailing support throughout our 23 years of marriage.
My hobbies and interests include reading (I’m a bookaholic), history, and cross-stitching. I love dogs, especially Labrador Retrievers. I also love flying with my husband – he’s a private pilot and has built his own airplane. We fly for fun . . . vacations or just across the state for lunch.
My life’s philosophy: Rely upon your inner strengths. We never know what we can accomplish until we dive in and give it our all.
